Weight Loss Information 23/06/2025

You may have heard that some weight loss medications are now available throught the NHS.  The Integrated Care Borad (ICB) has been tasked by NHS England to lprovide these in GP Practices by today, 23.06.2025.  

However it is important to note: 

• Mounjaro will only be available for specific groups of patients with certain health conditions, which means only a few patients within each practice will qualify.  
• The details of how GPs will administer and continue to monitor these medications are still being finalised.  

At this time we are kindly asking that you do not book an appointment to discuss starting Mounjaro with us just yet, as we cannot meet your expectations at this time.  

We will update our Social Media and Website with information as soon as we can offer further information.  

Additionally, once the details of our management are finalised it will take time to arrange training and set up clinics.  Our goal remains to assist as many patients as possible but we are guided by the ICB's plans based on NHS England's requirements.  

Please bare with us, and we will inform you as soon as we are ready to assist you.  Thank you for your understanding and patience with this.
